Here are four calendar reminders for April. On Wednesday, April 4th, Prayer Meeting will be cancelled and we will be having a Resurrection Service at 7 PM, in the chapel at St. Timothy’s. On Saturday, April 7th, we will be celebrating the first Yizkor (Memorial) of the new festival cycle. Traditionally the cycle runs from Nissan (March/April) to Tishrei (September/October), with Chanukah in midwinter (December) and Purim at the last full moon of winter (February/March). Shalom Everyone, Passover tickets are now for sale. They are $30 for adults (13 and older), $15 for youth (6-12), free for 5 and under. Remember our congregational Seder will be on Friday, March 30th at 6 pm in Stewart Hall. If you are able to help with the set up, please talk to Donna or Patti or the rabbi on Shabbat. We will need people Thursday afternoon to help set up the tables, the place settings and the non perishables. Our next Quarterly meeting is Nov. 4th 2017. We will look at what changes need to be made to our constitution and by-laws. Our Hebrew Classes and will start up again after the Fall Feasts on Saturday, October 21st, from 3 – 5 pm in the Board Room. Annual Picnic and 15th Anniversary Celebration is on Saturday, July 22nd at Coronation Park, Site #2 (map is available on the back table). We will have our Shabbat morning service at Coronation Park at 11 am as part of the picnic. It is a good time to invite friends and family and introduce them to our ministry. Baptism (Tevila), we have decided to go with an indoor venue in the early fall and will announce the time and date once we have booked a location. Lethbridge Shavuot Ordination Rally is on Sunday June 4th. Please pray for safe travels for everyone attending. I have heard that as many as 150 from Calgary will be joining us for the rally! On Thursday, June 8th Rabbi Mike will be travelling to Canmore to meet with leaders from Jewish Voice, the group which has been financially supporting the CMJC. There will be no Yeshiva this week.
