The Ava Simmons Memorial Torah Scroll Fund

Ava Simmons As a living legacy for a very special person, B'nai Chayim/Children of Life Messianic Fellowship, announced on Shabbat, 9 of Sivan, 5764 (May 29, 2004), the official inauguration of the:

Ava Simmons Memorial Torah Fund

During her life, Ava demonstrated a deep love for the Word of G-d and we want to cherish that love through this fund. We have purchased a Torah Scroll which is known in her memory as:

The Ava Simmons Memorial Torah Scroll

In loving memory of
Ava Georgia Simmons
(March 25, 1957 - April 13, 2004)

Ava Simmons May the memory of she who is now peacefully at rest, shine as a beacon to draw all those read the scroll to faith in our Glorious Messiah, Yeshua of Nazareth, David's Greater Son, the true King of Israel and King over all the nations of mankind.

Grieve not, beloved, she merely sleeps in the presence of our L-rd. Rejoice for she shall rise from her sleep and reunited, we shall sing and laugh once again. Amen.

Ava Simmons Three Little Letters
A-V-A

Kind, caring, patient, forebearing,
Trusting, forgiving, nurturing, giving,
          These are the things that spell Ava.

Talented, funny, her attitude sunny,
Able, deserving, but rarely self-serving
          These are the things that spell Ava.

Loving, classy, a little bit sassy,
Gentle, quiet, willing to try it,
          These are the things that spell Ava.

Helpful and true, kept a positive view,
Protective and good, would do what she could,
          These are the things that spell Ava.

Honest and fair, devoted to prayer,
When needed, was there, did more than her share,
          All these things spell Ava.

Written by Ava's eldest sister, Arlene Trudel

Although we have purchased the Scroll, we are still in need of a curtain for our Ark, a robe in which to dress the scroll, and the silver crown and plates used during the High Holy Days. To find out how you can make a tax-deductable contribution to The Ava Simmons Memorial Fund, please contact us.

But they that wait upon the L-rd
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.
- Isaiah 40:31
