Dear Friends:

As a Messianic Community in Alberta we are inviting Believers from around Alberta to join together for a special weekend to celebrate the Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost) on June 11th and 12th. For the past few years the Messianic community in Alberta has been meeting in Lethbridge to celebrate Shavuot. This year we will be meeting in Calgary for a special gathering. As an expression of unity, Beth Shechinah of Calgary is joining together with Pastor Roy Holmquist of the North West Family Church as well as B’nai Chayim of Edmonton and Beth Tephillah of Lethbridge.
Shavuot is considered the closing Festival of the Passover season. It represents the conclusion of the First Fruits of the wheat harvest in Israel and the giving of the Torah on Mt. Sinai.
For the Body of Messiah, the Feast of Shavuot has special significance. It was over 2000 years ago that the Holy Spirit was poured out in awesome power as the 120 Believers were anxiously waiting for the promise of the Father. They weren’t disappointed. Revival broke out on the streets of Jerusalem and 3000 Jewish souls were born again into the kingdom of God. An entire new messianic community of faith was born in one day!

The prophet Joel 2:15,16 prophesied that in the last days, “Adonai will pour out His Spirit on all flesh, your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Also on the male and female servants I will pour out my Spirit in those days.” Joel predicted that there will be signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth before the coming of the Messiah.

The world today is experiencing major birth pangs as we eagerly wait for the soon coming of our Messiah. With the four blood moons and solar eclipses we have witnessed in the past two years together with the Shemita year there have been many signs and wonders we have witnessed. There has been tremendous upheaval in the Middle East with the rise of ISIS, the fear of terrorism, the persecution of Christians, the flooding of refugees into Europe, Canada and around the world. With all the shaking and uncertainty in the economy, the world is in need of a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

As a Messianic and Believing community in Alberta it is our heart’s desire and prayer that we will witness revival come to our cities.
As part of this weekend celebration we invited Tommy Welchel the last surviving link of the Azusa Street Revival to be our key note speaker.
We will also be having each one of the leaders give a special focus on the Feast of Shavuot in each one of the services.
Azusa Street was known as the greatest revival in the 20th. Century and occurred from April 1906 to November 1909 in Los Angeles California. It was one of the greatest outpourings of the Holy Spirit since the Book of Acts.

The glory of God inhabited a small warehouse and stable in the early years of the twentieth century releasing creative miracles of healing twenty four hours a day, seven days a week for three and a half years the same length as Yeshua’s ministry! Flames of fire could be seen shooting from the rooftop of the mission converging with flames shooting from the sky into the mission. People who walked by the mission fell under the power of God.

We are privileged to have Tommy Welchel come to Calgary. He is author of the bestselling books – True stories of the Miracles of Azusa Street and Beyond and “They Told Me their Stories.” Tommy lived among the youth during that time and is the last surviving link of this great revival. He is a great story teller and recorded first-hand accounts and testimonies of the many miracles that occurred during those revival years. These testimonies have been shared around the world and the results are truly amazing. Tommy continues to minister and witness Adonai perform healings and touch many through his ministry.

We encourage you to attend this anointed weekend of Messianic Worship, Dance, Prayer and Ministry as we celebrate the Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost). We are believing that there will be many who will be touched by the power of God and many will come to salvation.
There is no charge for this celebration but we will be taking special love offerings to cover the costs of this special gathering! Join us for this exciting weekend!

Blessings in Yeshua
