Celebrating Simchat Torah tomorrow

Published October 28, 2016 by Rabbi Mike in Rabbi's Posts

shalom Mishpocah,

Tomorrow we are going to roll the scroll back to the beginning and read from the first and last verses of both the Old and New Testaments in as many languages as we can.  Please remember to bring your bag of individually wrapped chocolates and take your turn as we dance the scroll seven times around the sanctuary.

We want to cover one of the front tables with chocolates and allow our children to char be up at the end of the service to eat as much as their parents will et them and take home what is left.  I will be doing my usual and tossing out chocolates to the adults.

Afterwards, we will have a nosh to balance all the sugar with some protein.  when in doubt, bring chicken!

Join us as we inaugurate our Annual Torah Reading Cycle for 5777 – and as we bid a sad farewell to the busy season of the Fall Festivals – with the special services and the regular Sabbath services, we will have gathered together 16 times this month!  worth every second of it!

We are going to have an exciting year in the L-rd, with so many good things happening that you will not want to miss any of them.

see you tomorrow!

Shalom,

Rabbi Mike
