Erev Rosh Hashanah Service

Shalom Mishpocah, Whenever multiple groups share the same facility, scheduling can be a complicated undertaking, because it is not always possible to accommodate everyone’s needs. Laurier Heights does an excellent job trying to fit all the needs of the various groups who meet in the building into a regular schedule – and there are currently six different groups using the facility every week. Today, on the Jewish calendar, we are commemorating Tisha B’Av, the fast of the […]

Last Day of Torah Kids Club

Shalom Everyone, We have had a wonderful week exploring the festivals of the L-rd.  Today we will explore Sukkoth as we wrap things up.  We gave each child a Torah Kids Club t-shirt and they are enjoying working on their crafts, playing games and singing and snacking.  We are going to invite the parents to our annual congregational BBQ which will happen on Saturday, Aug. 9th and we hope to see some of them involved in our wonderful community. Tomorrow is Black Sabbath – the Sabbath before Tisha B’Av, the date when both temples were destroyed.  We need to understand […]
